Ardyn was too good a false-facer not to realize he was dealing with another one. It wasn't because any masked slipped, or any true inkling of discomfort had been let out; he just had that hearty suspicion that any suspicious person themselves learned to have. He wondered what exactly this man's 'trying time' had been, and then reminded himself that he didn't care.

He had other things to be doing himself. Let a stranger keep his own to himself.

"Oh, I do hope it won't be too much time! I'd rather not stick around for too long. I have an appointment I'm just dying to get to, you see."

His smile widened at the private joke. He was so tired.

"I assume everyone is rather like of mind, however."
